Sherrie Hoover, RNC-FNP completed her Master of Science in Nursing in 2012 at Texas Women’s University and has been a Nurse Practitioner for 7 years. She has lived in the Rockwall area since 2007. Sherrie is a true caregiver and has been in Nursing for over 20 years. Sherrie chose family practice because she enjoys treating patients of all ages. She is passionate about preventive health, pediatrics, geriatrics, and women’s health. Sherrie also carries multiple certifications in cosmetic injectables. In her free time, Sherrie enjoys traveling, volunteering and spending time with her husband and 2 boys. She is currently welcoming new patients and accepts most insurance plans.

Naja Thomas, M.D., MPH

Naja Thomas MD, MPH is a board certified Family Physician who comes to PPA from a large managed care organization. Dr. Thomas brings a wealth of knowledge an experience working with adults, seniors and children. Dr. Thomas takes pride in managing chronic disease states such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity and hyperlipidemia and asthma. Her practice also focused on primary prevention measures such as mammograms, pap smears, and colorectal cancer screening.
Dr. Thomas attended Howard University in Washington, DC, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She then attended Tulane University of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, obtaining a Masters of Public Health with an emphasis on maternal and child health. After returning to Howard University to complete a medical degree, Dr Thomas then traveled to Daytona Beach, Florida, to complete her family residency at Halifax Health Medical Center.

Carl Middleton, M.D., MPH

Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has practiced exclusively in the DFW Metroplex. Prior to joining PPA he worked in two of the largest hospital systems in North Texas where he was nominated for Teaching Faculty of the Year in one system and Attending of the Year in the other.
Dr. Middleton has a passion for people, medicine, and teaching. Additionally, he has an in-depth understanding of all areas of internal medicine and has a particular interest in coronary artery disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), kidney diseases, obesity, diabetes, respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, congestive heart failure as well as palliative care.
Dr. Middleton attended Howard University in Washington, DC where he graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Allied Health Sciences. After his undergraduate studies, Dr. Middleton completed a Masters of Public Health with a focus on Health Planning and Administration at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Middleton returned to Howard University to complete his medical degree. After medical school, he moved to Baltimore, MD and completed his internship and residency at Franklin Square Hospital Center, a University of Maryland, College of Medicine program.
